How It Works
The basic idea is to cut down on storage. Instead of having hundreds of wood blocks with stamps attached to them you only have 1 SET of acrylic blocks to use over and over with hundreds of unmounted stamps.

UNMOUNTED STAMPS:

Aleene's Tack It Over and Over Method:
1. Trim the rubber stamp with scissors-preferably a Kai-using them is like a knife going through butter.
2. Apply Aleene's Tack it Over and Over glue to the back of the stamp-A VERY THIN COAT.
3. Let glue dry for AT LEAST 30 minutes but overnight is best.
4. Place the stamp on your acrylic block and stamp and clean as you would normally.

EZMount Method:  EZMount is a type of temporary adhesion that provides cushion also.

1.  Cut EZMount to the same size as your stamp.  Peel the sticky side of the EZMount off and apply to stamp.  Trim the stamp and EZMount close to the design but don't cut into it! :-)

2.  Remove the static bond protective paper from the opposite side and 'stick' to your acrylic block.  That's it, really!

EZMount is available for $ 3.75 a sheet (8x13.5) from Prairie Stamper.  One sheet goes a long ways!  You can also just put your whole sheet of stamps on it and trim it all at once rather than each stamp.

UNMOUNTING WOOD BLOCK STAMPS:
It only takes a few seconds to turn your wood mounted stamps into unmounted stamps. Place the wood mounted stamp in the microwave for 10 seconds; slide the cushion and stamp right off the block. The cushion part should have enough stick adhesive to use on your acrylic block, if not, apply the Aleene's Tack it Over and Over glue to the cushion. OR simply peel the rubber part away from the cushion and wood block.

Storage of Unmounted Stamps

I've found what works best is to store the stamps in a 3-ring binder. Several hundred stamps will fit into ONE binder.

FOR STAMPS WITH ALEENE'S ON THEM: Stamp the image once on a sheet of cardstock; place the cardstock into a high quality sheet protector; position the stamp on the outside of the sheet protector NEXT to the stamped image-you've just created an index of your stamp. Continue on with more stamps until the page is filled.

FOR STAMPS WITH EZMOUNT:  Use shiney cardstock, cut it down 1/4" on the long side.  Stamp your image on the cardstock then place your stamp next to it ON the cardstock.  Place your sheet INSIDE the page protector.

OR: You can order plastic Stamp Storage index sheets that are already 3 ring hole punched!  I'm really excited about these.  Use Palette ink to stamp your image on the storage sheet, gently heat set it, don't get it too hot!! and then put your stamp next to the image!
